The Legend of Nightingale Wines....the result of a lost wager.
The boutique winery and vineyard at Broke is the result of a lost wager between Gail and her husband Paul. After a heated discussion where a $10,000 wager was made, Paul was proven to be wrong. Like all good husbands Paul thought he’d pay up with the purchase of wine shares in a public company. As a shareholder in the public company, Gail took Paul as her guest to dinners and promotions. The wine bug bit and soon Gail wanted a vineyard. She enrolled Paul in a Viticulture course soon after the purchase of 60 acres reminding him about his lost wager. The hard work and passion of both Gail and Paul resulted in the establishment of a vineyard and winery that now produces award winning boutique wines.

The moral of the winery is "Don't make a wager with Gail!"
