Semillon made its name in the Hunter Valley – the terroir is ideally suited to this variety with dry hot summer days and sandy alluvial.
Subtle and restrained Semillion is superb young, when cellared correctly this wine develop a honeyed, nutty and buttery mouth filling golden richness.
Made from carefully selected fruit, this Semillion wine is part of our Reserve range, our very best.
The Hunter’s signature grape, the world well known, early-picked style is eminent for its ability to age. Exemplary Hunter Semillon is quelled in its childhood, with fine, penetrating acridity and lemon enhance, advancing to wind up wealthier and more full, creating complex toasty, nutty and sweet characters that propose the wine has been developed in oak.
2016 was a cracker year for Hunter Valley Vineyards, perfect conditions had wine makers excited.
Nightingale Wines EST 1994 by Paul Nightingale and his wife Gail Nightingale quickly turned this patch of vacant land into one of the finest Vineyards in the Hunter Valley with the best view in the Valley. Paul and Gail eventually sold the Vineyard to Fortune Plus Investment Group owned by Katherine and Kristjan Geering who have continued building the success of Nightingale Wines and continue to produce some of the best wines in Australia.
